The boy became a man
It took but a second
A second that buried her life
A second otherwise insignificant
A flash. A blink.
A lifetime rolled into one second
And it was in that second that
The son became a father.
Dedicated to a friend who lost his father 10 years ago when he was only nine and lost his mother last night.
